- Combine orange juice, orange zest, soy sauce, beef broth, orange marmalade, and cornstarch in a bowl, whisking until the cornstarch is completely incorporated.
- Blanch the broccoli in boiling water for a few minutes until it reaches a tender-crisp texture, then drain.
Cooking
- Warm the oil in a skillet over high heat.
- Add the thinly sliced flank steak and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until the beef is browned. Remove any excess fat from the pan.
- Add the orange sauce to the skillet with the beef and stir for about 1 minute, allowing the sauce to thicken.
- Take the skillet off the heat and mix in the blanched broccoli until it is evenly coated with sauce.
Serving
- Serve the orange beef and broccoli over rice if desired.
Notes
Slice the flank steak very thinly against the grain to help create a more tender texture.
