  • 1/2 cup mashed bananas
  • 1/4 cup unsalted peanut butter
  • 1-2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup finely grated carrots

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat the oven to 350°F / 175°C.
  2. Place the whole wheat flour in a mixing bowl.
  3. Mix the mashed bananas, unsalted peanut butter, eggs, and grated carrots into the flour.
  4. Stir the batter until the ingredients are combined, taking care not to overmix.
Baking
  1. Transfer the batter to an 8-inch round baking pan.
  2. Bake for 25-30 minutes, then test the center with a toothpick to confirm the cake is done.
  3. Leave the cake in the pan for 10 minutes, then move it to a wire rack and allow it to cool completely.
Serving
  1. Add dog-safe frosting or toppings if desired before serving.

Notes

Use unsalted peanut butter that does not contain xylitol or artificial sweeteners.
