Ingredients

  • 2 pounds (907 g) chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce, optional

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F / 205°C.
  2. Dry the chicken wings thoroughly with paper towels to remove excess surface moisture.
  3. Coat the wings evenly with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Place the seasoned wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer, working in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding.
Cooking
  1. Air fry the wings for 20-25 minutes, turning them halfway through cooking, until crisp and browned.
  2. Confirm the chicken wings reach an internal temperature of 165°F / 74°C before serving.
  3. If desired, coat the cooked wings with hot sauce for a Buffalo-style finish.
  4. Allow the wings to rest for a few minutes before serving with dipping sauce.

Notes

Cook the wings in batches when needed to preserve airflow and help the skin crisp evenly.
